Silvana Brizuela Weigel is an Argentine Tango & Folk teacher, performer, and choreographer.
She’ll be offering:
Saturday Workshops (4/11)
VALS: We will get immersed in the “swing” of the Vals through flowing combinations, learning and refining basic principles like “pivots”, “circular walks”, and more tools to connect better with your partner, the music, and just share the flow.
MILONGA: We will be exploring the 2 dynamics and styles of the milonga: Lisa & Traspié. We will also discover how to combine them, manage “speed”, and enjoy the ride together.
Sunday Pre-milonga Class (4/12)
Sacadas& Boleos:
We will learn and work on Ins & Outs of Sacadas, Boleo Techniques, and how to apply them in your dance according to the Music.

Born in Buenos Aires, Silvana Brizuela Weigel studied Ballet and performed at the world-famous Teatro Colón, Argentina’s Ballet and Opera House. She later got admitted and studied Contemporary Dance at Teatro Municipal General San Martín. While keeping the vast training at the Teatro San Martín, Silvana started learning Tango from world-renowned masters such as Mingo and Esther Pugliese, Pupi Castello, Natalia Games, Gabriel Angio, Rodolfo Dinzel, Gabriel Missé, Leandro Oliver and Leila Rezk, and Lorena Ermocida.

e performed and taught for more than 27 years at various noteworthy venues and Festivals in Buenos Aires and USA.
Silvana teaches, performs, and organizes events in New York, New Jersey, and with the Tango Society of Boston at Dance Union in Somerville.
Silvana is properly trained and available to teach the original Argentinian style of Tango and folk dances like Zamba and Chacarera in both private and group settings. Her teaching style emphasizes technique, partner connection, and improvisation.
