Five part series: Fridays, October 10, 17, 24 & November 14, 21
This series will focus on the steps and techniques most commonly encountered in Argentine Tango, allowing you to dance with a deep sense of connection with your partner. Each class builds progressively, starting with basic principles and steps and adding additional moves each week. All concepts will be explained clearly and demonstrated in simple terms, making it accessible even to those with little to no prior dance experience.
Smooth soled shoes are highly recommended, (shoes that will allow your foot to pivot easily on the floor). Partners are not required and pairs will be established during class for practice. If you attend with a partner, you’ll be able to dance exclusively with them, although dancing with different partners can often be a valuable part of the learning process.
At the end of the series, we’ll host a Milonga (a social tango dance event) where students will have the chance to showcase their new skills. Attendance will be free for those enrolled in the series, but the Milonga will also be open to the public.
